History of Hayfield Windows
Hayfield Windows and Door Company was established in 1951 in the small town of Hayfield, Minnesota. Initially, the company started as a local business, focusing on producing wooden storm windows and doors. During this period, the demand for reliable and well-crafted windows grew. Hayfield quickly earned a reputation for quality craftsmanship and dependable service within the local community.
In the 1990s, Hayfield began expanding its product line to include vinyl windows, responding to market trends and customer preferences for low-maintenance, energy-efficient window options. This move marked a significant shift for the company, allowing it to reach a broader customer base and compete with larger manufacturers. Drum Capital acquired Hayfield Window & Door on August 5, 2019. As part of this change, They are doubling down on growth, brand awareness, and dealer support. The company operates in a 190,000 sq. ft. manufacturing building located on 55 acres of land and, with a larger company behind them, will probably see more growth in the future.

Hayfield Classic Series Windows
The Hayfield Classic Series offers a blend of durability, energy efficiency, and customizable options, making it a decent choice for homeowners seeking vinyl replacement windows. They are the entry lines from Hayifeld, so I suggest upgrading a couple of aspects. While the initial Cost and vinyl aesthetics may be considerations, the long-term benefits of reduced energy bills, low maintenance, and reasonable price make the Classic Series a compelling option for many.

Hayfield Heritage Series Windows
When you upgrade to the advanced insulated frames and high-performance glass options, these windows offer high-level thermal performance, which can significantly reduce energy costs and enhance indoor comfort. The low-maintenance vinyl construction ensures long-term durability and ease of upkeep. The addition of the sustainable dura wood interiors option allows homeowners to tailor the windows to their specific aesthetic and functional needs. There is little performance or feature difference between the two lines. Still, the new option of a stainable interior gives it much more flexibility styling-wise.

Overview of the Company
Fort for homeowners looking for a reasonably priced vinyl window, they should produce a solid vinyl window. I do not love that you must add the foam-filled frames and upgrade the glass to achieve the performance most consumers expect today. However, considering that their prices are lower than many competitors, that is to be expected. They have been in business for over seventy years and are not owned by a hedge fund, so that does give me some reassurance that they will be around for a while for parts and warranty work. They may not be your company if you desire top-end strength, longevity, and performance. But I think they do a great job for a solid Viny window that can stay within budget.
